OUR STORY
Our family has been raising and selling locker beef for 20+ years on our family farm in Trenton, Ky. We raise Shorthorn and Shorthorn cross cattle. They are raised free of antibioctics and growth hormons. We raise them on pasture and supplement with NON GMO grains.
Starting in 2011, we added Duroc cross hogs to the operation, and have been selling them by whole or halfs and now by the piece. In 2014, we started intergrating Birkshire hogs to our herd. We started crossing the hogs with Birkshire boars with the hopes of creating a more gourmet style pork product. We are now raising some purebred hogs in hopes of obtaining the opportunity to sell a top shelf product to local gourmet restaurants.
In 2012, Matthew decided his new bride didn't have enough chores so he decided a flock of 200 laying hens would help keep her busy!!!
The chickens are pastured raised and are supplemented with grain.
